Burlington Coat Factory is an American off-price department store chain that sells clothing, shoes, accessories, and home goods. It was founded in 1972 by Monroe Milstein and is headquartered in Burlington, New Jersey.
Since 2011, the company has been using a logo that showcases the Bodoni typeface, recognized for its high contrast between thick and thin strokes, hairline serifs, and pure vertical stress. Prior to 2011, the company's logos were designed with the extra bold roman Cooper Black typeface, created by Oswald Bruce Cooper.
