Carcassonne is a popular board game where players take turns laying tiles to create a medieval landscape and strategically placing their followers to gain points. It was created by Klaus-Jürgen Wrede in 2000 and originally published by Hans im Glück.
Carcassonne's box art features the game's title in a hand-drawn typeface called Lindsay by Margaret Lindsay Holton. Lindsay typeface was licensed to Letraset in 1980 and a digital version was made in the 1990s, but due to licensing issues it's no longer available. The title is complemented by a serif Barbedor Heavy, designed by Hans Eduard Meier in 1987.
