Ex Machina is a science-fiction film directed by Alex Garland about a young programmer who is invited to administer a Turing test to a humanoid robot with artificial intelligence. As the test progresses, he becomes involved in a dangerous game of manipulation and deception.
The font used for the Ex Machina film poster is Foundry Gridnik Bold, a geometric sans serif typeface developed from a monospaced typeface by Dutch designer Wim Crouwel. The alternate poster features the film title in another squarish sans serif font, probably Lab Sans Pro by Luis Alonso and Ricardo Santos.
