Girl Scouts is an organization for girls in the United States that aims to empower young women through activities that promote leadership, self-confidence, and community service. Founded in 1912, it currently has millions of members across the country.
In 1978, Saul Bass designed the Girl Scouts logo, which depicts the profile faces of three women arranged diagonally and the logotype set in Avenir Black with a customized "t". Adrian Frutiger created Avenir Black, which is a commercial font that can be purchased here.
