Kong: Skull Island is a 2017 American monster film directed by Jordan Vogt-Roberts. It is a reboot of the King Kong franchise as well as the 11th film in the King Kong franchise. A group of Vietnam War soldiers and scientists embark on an expedition to uncharted Skull Island, which is home to a giant ape known as Kong.
The film's title, featuring an unconventional design for the letters "O" and "G," suggests inspiration from either Forza Black by Hoefler & Co or a cost-effective alternative, Linotpye's Eurostile Bold.
