Party Monster is a 2003 biographical drama film about the rise and fall of New York City party promoter Michael Alig. Alig was known for throwing extravagant and controversial parties in the 1980s and 1990s. The film follows Alig's rise to fame, as well as his eventual downfall due to his drug addiction and involvement in the murder of his friend and fellow party promoter, Andre "Angel" Melendez.
