The Baby Experiment is a historical fiction novel by the Canadian writer Anne Dublin. In the 18th century Germany, Johanna, a 14-year-old Jewish girl, gets a job as a caregiver in an orphanage where a secret experiment is being carried out that results in the death of babies. After deciding to kidnap one of the orphans, Johanna travels to Amsterdam and faces many dangers along her journey.
