The original Tokyo 2020 Olympic and Paralympic logo, designed by Kenjiro Sano, featured a "T" symbol representing Tokyo, Tomorrow, and Team, accompanied by the Olympic rings. However, due to plagiarism allegations, a new logo was unveiled in April 2016, featuring an industrial sans serif typeface similar to Din 1451.
