Where’s Waldo? is a children's picture book series that was created by the British illustrator Martin Handford. The books consist of illustrations with lots of small details and hidden characters, and the reader is challenged to find the main character Wally (or Waldo) in the illustrations.
Optima Extra Black is used on the cover of the book for the title lettering. Hermann Zapf designed the elegant humanist sans-serif typeface between 1952 and 1955 for the D. Stempel AG foundry.
